I like the images you've used, they suit the style of the magazine and tell your adiuence what you genre your trying to get across. I think you could have edited the pictures more and some of the photos look slightly streached.
The housestyle is really good and runs through the magazine so it's clear that each page is from the same thing. The photos are in keeping with a music magazine and you have used a variety of different distances. However im not too sure about the background colour especially with the text colour on the contents.
i think he's really thought about the mise en scene of his magazine, you get a music vibe from it, which is good. The photo's on the front cover and the contents page fit really well, and would appeal to the target audience. i think he could improve on the background, because it doesn't look very 'indie'.
the front cover looks really effective with the girl and the guitar. The colours of the title and the guitar go really well and the shadow effect looks really good. Also the images go really well with the text, and makes it look professional and effective.
